Vile bodies by Evelyn Waugh. Since it’s my first time reading this author, I checked them online and I got hinted that this is comical satire of the life of people in between the big wars. Well, it is about the peoples life during 1930, just before the Second World War starts and it was an interesting take. But it wasn’t comical for me. I had a straight face throughout the book. But the story is about Adam, an aspiring writer whose manuscript gets burned by the customs when he enters England from France. So now he loses the chance of marrying the love of his life and story takes off from there. We follow him through his struggle in life where he loses and gains money n number of times. Omg. Towards the end the Second World War starts. That’s how the story ends. I totally appreciate the book, I get the idea and I had minimally decent time with it. That’s it. It’s not that good to recommend. So I give it,
