Welcome to Tara Farms, where my family's sheep and cereal cropping operation in rural Victoria, Australia, provides endless content (and the occasional reason to question my life choices). I've been working on this land since I finished school, which means I've pretty much seen it all, or at least enough to fill a weekly YouTube episode.
Every Wednesday, you're getting an unfiltered look at our farm life. That includes the daily antics of Typo and Bim, my highly opinionated sheepdogs, and the drama surrounding my mob of ewes, affectionately (or accurately, depending on the day) known as the 'Skanks', who I bought myself last year. And of course my ram, Scrot. If you enjoy authentic farming, a healthy dose of reality, and my remarkably dry observations on rural existence, you've found your new favorite channel. Prepare to be mildly amused and surprisingly informed.

Thank you everyone for your messages and comments about the fire yesterday.
The farm is fine, we had a couple of dry lightening strikes which we contained and extinguished.
Images are of area we defended.

I’m mapping out 2026 farm projects and video ideas… 👀
What do YOU want to see more of next year?
More Skanks? 🐑
More Lamb? 🥩
More Chickens? 🐓
Crops? 🌾
What do you want from me! Your feedback will help guide the schemes.

Scrot 2022-2025
While out checking my sheep this morning, I found Scrot deceased. He had been bitten by a snake.
He was my first ram, the start of my own mob, and something I was genuinely proud of. Farming has a way of reminding you that no matter how much care you put in, some things are completely out of your control.
It’s a tough way to start, but it’s part of the reality of running livestock. We keep going, learn what we can, and look after the rest of the mob.
Thanks to everyone who followed his run and understood what he represented for me. He was such an easy ram to handle, and had a beautiful temperament.

Look, I know, ads are shit. But here’s another one anyway.
We’ve got a couple of wool pellets, mugs, and tags still kicking around before they’re gone for the year. Once they’re out, that’s it. No more merch until this time 2026. I'd get onto it because apparently I have actual farming to do.

And while you’re already clicking around on my website, there’s a new date sitting quietly on the homepage. I won’t say what it’s for, but if you’ve been hanging out for something… tasty… you might want to take a look.
Anyway, that’s the ad. I hate it too. Carry on.
