After this one, you'll see a decline in production
Youtube demands consistency and frequent uploads, but the real life does not agree with that, so, opposite is coming. The research pipeline is very thin and distractions are plenty.

The Bad Neighbors
The Mysterious Towers of Southern Portugal
This is one of those collections of ruins that seems to become more difficult to explain the longer you look at it.
The structures are small, square, dismantled and megalithic. Their masonry is somewhat cyclopean, sometimes incorporating very large stone blocks. The fitting is careful in certain places and much rougher in others. Yet the towers consistently appear to be more substantial than their modest size, incomplete condition and supposedly practical purpose would require.
Eight examples have been recorded. The remains of six are still visible, although in several cases only barely. All of them are scattered across a relatively small area at the extreme southwestern edge of Europe.

Over the past two months I've been obcessing over an unexplainable collection of ruins. They are small, squared, dismantled, megalithic, somewhat cyclopean, featuring some very large blocks sometimes, but not always, carefully fitted and always beyond explanation.

There are 8 of them on record, 6 barely visible, spread out in a small area in the extreme southwest of Europe.

Each site is an enigma on its own, and together they make up an impossible puzzle missing most of its pieces.
-Although one had (barely, maybe) pre-roman pottery, all the others show early roman signs of occupation and even destruction with reusage of some blocks.
-Located sometimes close enough, 2 kilometers or so, but never visible from one another.
-Balance themselves on elevations high enough to look good, yet too low to have any visibility around.
-The stones are big and rough, too big to be moved around for any practical and logistic consideration by an army on the go.
-Blocks are poorly cut to the most part. But suprisingly some of them quite elegant facing and fitting.
- Stranger still, two examples isolated in the north show signiginatly different stonework from the 4 examples to the west. As if they were in sub-families.

All in all learned a lot, understood nothing.
No idea what to do with it.

Vibrating Stones and the Cyclopean Trance (why it was real)
----

There is no doubt (for most part) no hard metal tools were used in early megalithic/cyclopean works.
Implying the stones were polished/smashed with other stones.

Hammering stone with stone to break it implies using vibration, it's the vibration effect that breaks the stone, not the presure. Stones can withstand way bigger presures that what a human hand can force. Stone break on impact because of the vibration induced. This much is undeniable (unless we consider magical alien tech)

NOW:

Two people hammering one stone have to be coordinated.
Because people smashing boulders out of sync would not break it, each un-tempo impact attenuate the previous one, either stones were worked alone (impossible in due time) or the builders were coordinating themselves to hammer the stones in synch.

THUS:

The way to achieve this (many workers hammering in tight coordination) is with a song + trance state.
The builders were doing a rave party ensuring each one hammered the stone at exactly the precise moment to ft the propagation of the waves in the bedrock and to achieve maximum vibration, not dampening.

The megalithic/cyclopean builders had a Trance state, induced by music to soften the stones. Bangggg.

There were 1000s of Marco Polos.
-
Travelling accross the continents and around the seas, was a common occurence since 1.000.000 years.
People have been living in every remote corner of the world since the beggining of times.
And they got there by boat, crossing rivers, island hopping. And walking too.
This was not a one time only event. over the following centuries people went back and forth many many times.

At least once in every other generation a person would do a Marco Polo, or a Ibn Battuta, or a Eric the Red, going to the other side of the world, although most of them, almost all of them, did not leave us books about it. But they talked.

Just since the Ice Age (12.000 years ago, 250 generations) there was 100s of travellers crossing the continents.
These people would tell about the wonderous things they saw, and some ideas stuck around in stone.

What does the evidence point into?
---
This is the oldest structure in Central America.

-Somewhat cyclopean in a style very much unlike anything ever built afterwards. Beforehand there was no stone-building of any sort.
-No writings, no drawings, no clear idea what it was built for. Just a massive platform built for nothing on top, like others in Europe.
-All the meso-american cultures had a myth of the first ever city (Tollan) and the foreigner civilizer (feathered serpent)
-This was built around 1400 BC, at a time the Europeans were happily building similar things.

What should we think about this?
