Roborear

A line follower robot does NOT actually see the line like a camera.
Instead, it uses IR (Infrared) sensors to detect light reflection from the surface.

Here’s how it works:

βœ… 1. IR Sensors Emit Infrared Light

Each IR sensor has:
πŸ‘‰ IR LED β†’ sends out invisible infrared light
πŸ‘‰ Photodiode/phototransistor β†’ reads how much light comes back

This pair together detects how reflective the surface is.

βœ… 2. White Surface Reflects IR Light

White returns a lot of IR light, so the sensor reads:
πŸ‘‰ High reflection / High analog value / β€œ1”

❌ 3. Black Line Absorbs IR Light

Black absorbs most IR light, so almost nothing comes back:
πŸ‘‰ Low reflection / Low analog value / β€œ0”

This contrast is what the robot uses.
