Under the Divyangjan Gyan Yojna Series, today’s update highlights a major relief for persons with disabilities.
As per Notification No. 9/2025 – Central Tax (Rate) dated 17 September 2025, specially designed 4-wheelers for Divyangjans (HSN 8713) will now attract only 5% GST (2.5% CGST + 2.5% SGST), reduced from the earlier 18% or 28%.
This step reflects the government’s commitment towards inclusivity and affordability for persons with disabilities.
