Went out grouse hunting, but ended up tracking a snowshoe hare instead. Got close… and made a choice I didn’t expect.

With deer hunting on pause until November 8th, it felt good to get the fishing rod out for some river monsters!
The session started off great as I managed to land both target species right away! As I kept working the area, I noticed some Musky activity smashing baitfish along the shoreline.
Then things got wild... I hooked two Stripers in a row! 😲 Super pumped since they were only my 2nd and 3rd ever, but also a bit disappointed, thinking they might have spooked the Walleye and ended my session there.
Still, I decided to stick it out and keep casting, hoping for one more big bite... and sure enough, a big mama Walleye crushed the bait!
Days like this remind me why I love fishing! The surprises, the chase, and that one last bite that makes it all worth it. 🎣❤️

🚨 Tomorrow, 7:00 AM… it’s ON! 🚨
We gave ourselves 6 hours to catch 25 fish… because apparently, we enjoy stress 😅🎣
The bites were wild, the clock was ticking, and at one point, I forgot how to count fish 🤦♂️ (don’t worry… you’ll see).
Here’s a few of the big ones we tangled with before the timer hit zero ⏱🐟
Make sure you’ve got your coffee ready tomorrow morning because this one’s a ride!
