Never supported you for any kind of trophy and never wanted to support for any trophy. A single trophy can never define or erase your legacy from football.
And even if we had to support someone or some team just for "trophies", surely wouldn't have chosen you or a team like Portugal then; rather would have chosen teams like Brazil, Germany or even Argentina, But we didn't. Cuz we fell in love with football only for you, not for "trophy"
Over the last few years, things changed. It was never about trophies anymore; it was simply about waiting up late just to see you play for 90 minutes, to witness one more goal, to scream one more "Suiiii" with you. Those moments, just seeing you on the pitch meant much more than winning any trophy. Therefore, winning or not winning that "one specific trophy" hasn't diminished my love for you even by a fraction, and it never will.
However, won't lie— it hurts, the end with the national team could have been, and should have been better. Perhaps maybe it wasn't written in the destiny, so it did not happen.
It's a disaster that one of the best national squads of our time, filled with world-class players from every club, in every single position, collapse like this. This downfall, was surely for the player's arrogance and an utterly incompetent and ineligible team management, not for a lack of talents.
You deserved a team and companions that respected your greatness, not the one that failed you when it mattered most. But even after all this, I still want You to continue for a few more years. Hopefully the Nations League '27 and the Euro '28. Let us witness you a bit more!
And finally, You have given this sport everything, and you owe us absolutely nothing. Yet, our hearts still beat for you, for your journey. Whatever happens, I was with you, am with you, and will always be with you, CR7. 🐐❤️
