It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the tragic news about the attack during Pride in Berlin.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire LGBTQIA+ community in Berlin. In times like these, we feel all the more strongly how important it is that we continue to support one another and stand together for love, freedom, and safety.

We stand with our community in Berlin. Today, tomorrow, and always. 🏳️‍🌈

On Tuesday, July 28, at 8:00 p.m., a moment of remembrance will be held at the Homomonument to honor the victims and the queer community in Berlin. Please bring a candle and/or flowers to show your support at the Water Triangle.

🏠 Many location partners that have joined Pride for previous editions are returning once more to help our communities gather. They will house some of the best and most meaningful activities and events for WorldPride.

✨A’dam Tower, the Social Hub (City & West), Tolhuistuin, Hotel Arena, Fosbury & Sons, Boom Chicago & Space for Dance Art (ICK Dans) will all have interesting, varied and wonderful pride programming.

🙌 Pride Amsterdam is proud to have collaborations with these cultural & social hubs of Amsterdam. We wish all of our community organizers, guests and visitors a great time!

🌈🌎 On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the international WorldPride March 2026 will take place in Amsterdam. Thousands of participants from the Netherlands and abroad will march together from Martin Luther King Park to Museumplein to raise awareness about equal rights, inclusion, and the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community worldwide.

🏳️‍🌈⏱️Starting at 3:00 p.m., participants will gather next to Martin Luther King Park (President Kennedylaan) for speeches, performances, and socializing.
👣At 4:30 p.m., the march—including sound trucks from A’DAM Tower, Ballroom Pride, BOPS, Trans Pride, and Mister B, among others—will set off toward Museumplein, where the official Closing Concert of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 will take place at 5:30 p.m.🎉

📣 So make your voice heard on Saturday, August 8, for the WorldPride March 2026. Together, let’s show that Amsterdam is a city where everyone can be themselves, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or background.

🌈💡During WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, the city will be transformed into a true Amsterdam Rainbow City. So far, 53 iconic buildings, museums, hotels, businesses, and cultural institutions have committed to illuminating and/or decorating their facades in rainbow colors during WorldPride. Among others, Amsterdam Central Station, the Passenger Terminal, Stopera, the Eye Film Museum, the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the Van Gogh Museum, ITA, the Beurs van Berlage, Paradiso, the Koepelkerk, the Ziggo Dome, De Bijenkorf, several corporate headquarters, and many other locations are participating in this collective initiative. Through this, they are demonstrating that Amsterdam, in solidarity, stands for diversity, inclusion, and equal rights.

👀WorldPride invites visitors and residents to explore Amsterdam on their own even after sunset. From July 25 through August 8, between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., the participating venues will be beautifully illuminated in all the colors of the rainbow.

🗺️To make the tour as accessible as possible, the organization will soon publish a map showing all participating venues, so visitors can easily plan their own route.

WorldPride Amsterdam komt er weer aan, en om dit te vieren organiseert @temple_of_peace_2026een gratis eendaagse workshop voor- en door leden van de LGBTQIA+-gemeenschap en hun bondgenoten!

Op maandag 29 of dinsdag 29 juni kunnen deelnemers een eigen unity flag maken in FUSE NDSM, AMSTERDAM uit textiel, die vervolgens onderdeel wordt van de Temple of Unity tijdens WorldPride Amsterdam. Ervaring met naald en draad is niet nodig, er zijn naaisters aanwezig die helpen om de vlaggen in elkaar te zetten!

Het is vandaag IDAHOBIT 2026 (internationale dag tegen homofobie, bifobie, transfobie en interseksfobie)

De dag is is jaarlijks op 17 mei, de dag waarop internationaal de lhbt-organisaties aandacht vragen voor het verschijnsel homofobie en de sociale onwenselijkheid van deze vorm van haat.

De datum van 17 mei is gekozen omdat op die dag in 1990 de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) homoseksualiteit officieel schrapte van de internationaal gehanteerde lijst van ziekten, de International Classification of Diseases. Tot dan toe stond homoseksualiteit op die lijst als psychische aandoening te boek.

Dit jaar is het thema ‘At the Heart of democracy’. Op IDAHOBIT worden er wereldwijd allerlei activiteiten georganiseerd.

Wij delen graag 2 tips:


- Bijenkomsten voor LHBTIA+ vluchtelingen en medewerkers georganiseerd door COA en LGBT World Besides in Amsterdam
- Een activiteit in Thailand waar de Amsterdam Rainbow Dress te zien zal zijn als onderdeel van een expositie!
