✨ Hollywood Wave: from 1930s movie stars to modern bridal styling
The Hollywood Wave feels modern —
but its roots go almost a century back.
In the 1930–1940s, actresses like Veronica Lake, Rita Hayworth, and Lauren Bacall
made this silhouette a symbol of elegance and femininity.
Waves back then were:
-perfectly even,
-with identical amplitude,
-mirror-smooth,
-sculpted entirely by hand — with combs, clips, and a blow dryer.
There were no curling irons, no flat irons.
Every curve was created manually, almost like jewelry work.
Today, the essence hasn’t changed.
A Hollywood Wave is still built on geometry:
rhythm, repetition, line direction, and density.
That’s why it looks timeless.
Modern variations include:
-classic glossy waves,
-textured waves,
-soft bridal waves,
-“Old Hollywood” red carpet styles,
-flat-iron sculpted waves.
But the logic behind them is the same:
precision + softness.
📌 If you want to learn both classic and modern Hollywood Waves,
my full course guides you through every step in HD.

In this video, I demonstrate a step-by-step execution of a Half Up Half Down hairstyle made from curls with a flat iron. In this video, I also show how to prepare a mannequin's hair for a hairstyle. Usually, I wash it the day before, with shampoo and conditioner. I leave it overnight after applying a few drops of hair oil and combing through the hair completely. Then, when the mannequin has dried, I straighten and crimp the hair as I do in the video.

✨ Why I love working with curls
Every time I pick up a curling iron or flat iron, I’m reminded that curls are the perfect blend of logic and creativity.
On one hand — it’s pure physics.
Temperature. Cooling time. Section size.
Change just one parameter, and the curl becomes something completely different.
But on the other hand — it’s art.
Curls can be soft, tight, glamorous, airy, glossy, or natural.
They’re never identical — like fingerprints.
Maybe that’s why curls calm me.
Curl after curl, I see chaos turning into order.
And order turning into beauty.
That’s the magic of what we do.
We create something that won’t ever exist again in the same form —
yet it stays forever in photos and in memory.
