Been looking at a lot of the new champions since I last played & I noticed a theme that it seems like their skill kits have gotten a bit more complex compared to the old champions. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes this can be a bad thing. What do you guys think? Who are some of the crazy new champion you like vs dislike?
Hey everyone. I wanted to post this as an update to my current situation. I know I have said very little the last few months. September, October, November, and December of 2020 were the most difficult 4 months of my life.
The reason why I slowed down & eventually stopped online content these last months was a new job that I got after losing my job back in March of 2020. At the time. I knew this new job was important after being unemployed for almost 6 months and I was not making enough money from online content to not take this offer. What I did not know is how different the job turned out to be from the description that I was given before I accepted.
I was working 6-7 days a week, 60-70 hours a week minimum & sometimes even more then that. It was absolutely soul crushing, and I feel like it destroyed me from the inside out. I had absolutely no time or energy to make content, but on top of that I didn't even have the time or energy to play games on my own. I quit every game I was playing. I was just too drained.
I used the word "soul-crushing" not just because of the amount of time this job was demanding from me, but it demanded so much from me in many different ways. I won't get into the details in this post, but in just 4 months I feel like a completely different person then I was before.
Now that I made some money and learned what this job truly was, my #1 goal was to get out and open up my options in life again. At the time of me writing this, that has happened. I quit my job and now have a good amount of time before I get to the point where I feel like I have no options again.
It's been a couple weeks since I quit and I feel like my old self is starting to come back after being hollowed out these last few months. I am getting my energy + motivation back & I want to get back to doing the things I love such as gaming & making online content. I can't make any big promises now, but now you guys know at least the backstory to my life these last few months. I am thinking about releasing a video or even a live stream getting into a bit more
detail, but I wanted to put this out there as a start.

I am still in the early processes of getting used to things at my new job, and over the coming few weeks as I get into the rhythm of my new schedule I will get back to releasing regular videos.

I did not copyright strike anyone. I saw an image being posted and saw it was under the name "Plarium". People are associating my actions with the company "Plarium". I want to be very clear I am not a Plarium employee or represent them in any way. I am just an individual content creator just like all the other RAID youtubers. I did not ask anyone who works at Plarium to do anything either. I also did not have anything to do with whatever happened in the official RAID discord server. I never go in any of the chats except the content creator specific chats and I am do not have the power to ban anyone anyway, nor did I ask for anyone to be banned. I have never spoken to this certain content creator who has problems with me. I have never spoken about them either. I really have no idea how all this even started..
I just make my own videos and mind my own business here on YouTube. I don't get involved in anyone else's business. I have also been really busy outside of RAID/YouTube/Gaming lately and have been paying very little attention to any of this stuff. It just seemed like such a small thing until now.

My last actual pack purchase was almost 40 days ago, and the last time before that was almost 60 days ago. I do not have an official time period for how long this will last because putting an official number on the days is going to achieve nothing if that day comes and nothing has changed. I am sticking to what I said that I will start to spend again when I truly see the game moving in the right direction.
For those of you guys asking in the comments/discord/twitter if I will be commenting about the Hacking situation currently going on, the answer is Yes. This has sadly been an ongoing issue for a while now, but lately lots of new information has been revealed. Expect more information about this on the channel sometime in the near future.
Also I have been seeing a lot of "why don't you play other games?.." type comments lately and I wanted to mention that I do indeed play many other games besides RAID. However, I do not post videos of some of the other games I play on my main channel because I do not think the majority of my RAID subscribers would be interested in the style of some of the other games I play. This is why I also post many videos to my 2nd channel "More SALT" youtube.com/moresalt (which has been doing very well lately, so thank you very much to those of you who enjoy watching videos on both channels).
I understand a large number of people are upset about the overwhelming number of negative videos lately. I can tell videos are getting disliked more, watched less, "salt is being more salty lately", etc. I also understand this is not the best move in terms of moving my channel forward. After putting a year of my life, thousands of dollars, and countless hours into this game I have to express how I truly feel lately.
I also made it VERY clear to Plarium the second we start to see good news for the game, I will be the 1st one to bring out the good news and give them credit. I am not just a pessimist who only wants to talk about bad stuff, I am just being realistic about the current state of the game.
There is a physical price you have to pay by being honest with this stuff, but I think there is a bigger price you have to pay mentally if you fake being positive when that's not how you truly feel just in order keep up sub numbers, channel growth up, etc.
Please Plarium bring out some good news, I want to show people I will be just as happy to be the 1st one to talk about the good stuff as I am about the bad stuff lately.
