Alright everyone! Hope you all had a cracking weekend and a top Father's Day yesterday.
We’ve been pitched up down in Braithwaite in the Lake District, and yesterday was an absolute sun-bleached beauty. No set plans, no rushed schedules—just chilling under the awning with a few cold ones while Molly claimed the best spot on the deck. Ended the day with a proper pub dinner treat at The Royal Oak before hitting the sack early.
Woke up to a pretty cloudy morning today, so it's time to pack up the Banter Van and hit the road home. ☁️🚐
Sometimes you just need to get away, log off, and do absolutely nothing for a bit. That’s what it's all about.

What’s up, everyone! 🚐
The VW Camper Banter crew has officially landed in Braithwaite in the Lake District!
We've had the full UK weather experience today—a proper wet and rainy walk to tire out Molly, followed by a massive plate of curry and rice to warm up. 🍛
Right now, Molly is dead to the world in her spot, and myself and Cat are unwinding with a glass of 19 Crimes and a Martini Rosso inside the van. Total relaxation mode is fully engaged.

What’s happening, everyone! 🚐
Just back from a cracking couple of nights completely off-grid up at Loch Stroan with Munneke. The Banter Van was in its absolute element.
We didn't stick to any strict plans—just pure release. Got the paddleboards out, did some wild swimming, and hit the trails on the electric bikes. Perfect way to switch off and just enjoy the environment.
Standard procedure in the evenings: plenty of 19 Crimes red wine. But guess what? Still no number 19 cork! 🤣🤣 I'm convinced they're keeping them all for themselves.

WE SURVIVED THE FIRST STEALTH CAMP! 🚐💨
Good morning everyone! We’ve just finished up our first off-grid night in the van and it was a total result.
We stayed over at Seaton Sluice and the peace was unreal. It’s amazing how much better you sleep with the sea air hitting you. We took Molly for a walk around the harbour this morning to see the mermaid and soak in the views before heading off.

Checking out potential spots for the next trip! 🚐💨
Found this spot overlooking Roker docks today. It looked 10/10 on the app, but the "Private Land" signs are fresh in the ground. Gutted, as that mini beach would’ve been a top-tier place to wake up.
But look, that’s the VW Camper Banter way—we don't care about the setbacks. I had the kettle on for a brew, took in the sea air, and enjoyed the sun. It’s a release, not a chore. If it’s not meant to be, we move on to the next one.
