Here’s something Ive been thinking about while watching on my latest project:
Should designers start designing immediately, or research existing products first?
For this project, I researched real SaaS products before designing almost every major section - onboarding, charts, pagination, etc.
I used Mobbin to study how existing products solve these problems, then used those patterns as a starting point for my own design.
