THEY'RE DONE!! All 31 renders for Meebspace are finished. The remaining monsters will release in order of stability: Jellbilly, Kazilleon, Dragong, Blarret, X'rt, Vhenshun, Oogiddy, then Bemeebeth. One short every other day like how uploads started out, and then it's just a matter of editing the video itself. WE ARE GETTING THIS SONG!!!👏👏

Thank you guys so much for 6K!!!! Been settling into college well so I think I'm gonna get into the final stretch of Meebspace uploads soon!!

Additionally, a quick note: Previously, on another community post, I said the island was gonna have 35 monsters in total. That is no longer the case, and it is now *37*.

To be transparent, the additional 6 are a few fanmade ethereal monsters I've been cooking up on the side, and this certainly isn't the last you'll see of them on the channel (wink wink nod nod future projects). I want it to be a light intro that doesn't steal the spotlight from the monsters you actually listen to the song for, so they're limited to their own little section to prevent your favorites getting drowned out by the new guys ^^

I wanna keep their nature pretty vague for the moment, so I'm not sure when, if, or how I'll get to revealing their designs and sounds and deciding whether or not I'll do shorts for them too, but chances are if you've tried contacting me over discord you've already gotten a look at one of them :)

Hey!! Quick update regarding the Meebspace and some other content-related things for those interested!! I'll start with what most of you are probably waiting for and get that out of the way:

Some time in June I made a post saying that I wanted to finish the Meebspace by the end of the summer. I added a disclaimer at the end (that I'll most likely be cashing in on) where I stated that if this goal were to change or turn into something unrealistic, I would let you guys know as soon as possible. I'm, well, here to let you guys know. LOL

I'm a little under a month from my freshman year of college and over two months beyond the last non-short upload on the channel. Unfortunately, these two things together pose a bit of a problem. Firstly, drawing and rendering full body artworks for the remaining half of the ethereal monsters within a month would be one heck of a crunch, and that would most likely come at the cost of art and editing quality. I can't really afford to pressure myself like that, nor do I want anything to come out half-baked. Secondly, if I keep my current pace, I certainly won't hit the "end of summer" goal, and the minute college comes in, IRL stuff has to take priority for a little while. When that happens, progress on everything channel-related is gonna stop short for a few weeks, meaning no uploads for two months, then upwards of a month and a half afterwards. Not good!!!!

I've devised what I'd consider to be the best solution, though it'll involve the Meebspace being put on the backburner for a little bit. Since most of the workload is art, I've built up quite the backlog of songs which I'm gonna try to start releasing soon.

I've gotten a ton of comments asking me if I ever plan on doing a take, remix, cover--whatever you want to call it--of Plasma Islet, since it's ironically the only ethereal element I haven't centered a song around. I personally find remixing to be a lot less fun than making original songs and I feel like remaking it entirely would leave some people unsatisfied, so I took a bit of a sidestep and put some time into composing a Plasma *Island* that just needs some artwork before I can ship it out. Here's how I plan on handling this, along with other uploads in the near future:

I will continue making Meebspace shorts for all the monsters with Whaill's elements that don't already have their individuals posted. This means Grumpyre, Nebulob, Boodoo, Meebkin, Nitebear, and of course, Whaill, though not necessarily in that order, are next on the chopping block. This will let me make progress on both projects at the same time, even if I'm not stoked about cutting corners and reusing renders for both songs.

In general, if I feel like I've gone too long without an upload, I will prioritize a smaller, lower-stakes video as opposed to rushing the current larger project for the sake of getting it out faster. Additionally, if and when I ever take the "individuals before full upload" approach to a release again, I am going to have all the sounds and drawings done before I start putting them out so these awkward content gaps won't happen. I'm gonna NEED that kind of workflow for what I have planned once the Meebspace is wrapped up since *designing* monsters is gonna take a heck of a lot longer than just drawing them.
