I love all kinds of outdoor adventures, from mountain biking to paddle boarding, trail running to camping, I even try to climb now and then. Bikepacking, fastpacking, and paddle camping are some of my favorite ways to explore, though I do love a good car camping trip, where I have the ability to bring gear for all the activities I love.
When I'm not out adventuring in the Appalachian Mountains (and beyond), I'm sewing gear that will help take me further. MYOG (make your own gear) projects are a great way to have outdoor gear made precisely for you, whether your looking for a specific fit, features, or aesthetic.

My next video is supposed to be a bit of an unique MYOG project. Unfortunately, things are a bit more complicated than I had originally planned (perhaps there's a reason people don't typically make things from old broken paddleboards 😂). The supplies I'm hoping will help me finish this project are scheduled to be delivered in the beginning next week, so if everything goes to plan this video should be up next weekend.
And if things don't go to plan (again), there should still be a new video next weekend, it just may be paddling or hiking instead 🚣♀️🥾

I’m excited to share I am now an ambassador for iNaturalist.org (unpaid, volunteer position). I discovered iNaturalist 2 years ago, and have since enjoyed using it to document what I see while out exploring. I’m excited to share my love of nature with others and continue to contribute to citizen science. The program’s still pretty new, so I’m not 100% sure what it will look like going forward, but stay tuned for upcoming events I’ll be hosting or assisting with in the Southern Appalachian region (thinking maybe some bioblitzes 🤔). What type of rewards do you like to see for memberships (on sites like Patreon, etc.)? I just launched a membership site (alwaysadventuring-shop.fourthwall.com/supporters for anyone who may be interested) through Fourthwall as I already have a shop through them and would like to hear what people would be interested in. I already plan to do early, ad-free videos, Discord access, and a shop discount. Would detailed itineraries and packing lists for my multi day trips be beneficial to anyone? Or stickers? I'd love to hear your ideas!
