I said likely no update or streams this week but I LIED. (Kinda) So heres your Dragon Ball Classic Abridged update!
All of the dialogue has been recorded, and plugged into the storyboard. I have a lot of work to do as far as cleaning up pacing, and diving into lip flaps. Which I unfortunately will NOT be able to get very deep on until next week.
I did WANT to stream today, but my AC crapped out last night and I am baking alive. So I'm just going to take the time I would have to stream, to sit in the dark and work on the show.
Your DBCA update for the week is that good progress is still being made. Im locking in before I have to travel for a wedding next week! So ill be plugging in everything we have recorded and ill be starting on lip flaps! (Note: we recorded for Roshi last night. It went VERY well.)
Ill also be streaming a couple times! (All times EST)
Tuesday - 1PM: Sparking! Zero - Krillin Episode Battle
Thursday - 1PM: Sparking! ZERO - Cell Episode Battle
And thats it! Probably no update next week, at least nothing too substantial (and no streams) see ya!

We also broke 12,000 not days after hitting 10k. Which is also so insane! I have a few fun things planned for these milestones. 1. I am going to record part 3 of my long forgotten series "Drunken Ball Z" where in I get *heavily* intoxicated and recite each arc of DBZ by memory! (This will not effect production on DBCA...but it may take me a while to get it made) I would also like to do a watch party of all of our existing episodes with some of our cast members/writers, but I have yet to coordinate any of that. Since episode 5 released we've gotten an influx of new eyes on all platforms so thank you for sticking with us for this journey, and engaging! (The algorithm hates me, so like. Really. Thank you) and shouts outs to our new channel members for financially supporting the show! (You'll get a proper shout out in episode 6, and a special role in our discord!)
Progress is already being made on episode 6, we've recorded for ox king and the story board is done!
All that being said, I'm taking a week off for a lil family vacation! So, no streams this week. We'll be back next week with our behind the scenes stream, and some more sparkin zero!

It was about a year ago I decided to start this series and MAN was I in over my head. Its taken a lot of work, a lot of trial and error, but after 5 episodes, I think we've found our footing. And I'm excited to press on.
For all you knew folks, hey! Im gunchpot. (I know, im not TFS) Im just a guy who likes dragon ball and makin' jokes. My plans for this series are big, and I hope you stick along for the ride! Though I am not TFS, and I want to stand out from them (naturally my series is NOT Canon to theirs, and were definitely not trying to emulate them) but they were still certainly a huge inspiration, and i hope nearly 20 years after their series began, we can find a corner of the abridging space to call home and grow a community.
That being said, if you'd like to you can join our discord where theres a ton of cool artists, nerds, and chill folks to hang out with, play games, share your work, etc. (I also talk about the show and behind the scenes stuff)

The episode is *basically* done! Sound design, music, lip sync, all covered! All I really have left is to plug in some last minute audio, and clean up some VFX.
