I’m MOE. I was born in Kyoto and I have 6years experience of working as a Maiko and a Geiko/Geisha. After that, I got married and moved to Tokyo. And I have been learning to cook as a housewife.
I gave birth to a baby girl, SUTAN, in the Spring of 2019. I really started thinking more deeply about the health of my family and the importance of daily food.
But moms in the world are very busy with child-rearing.
Therefore, I will show you how to make SIMPLE and HEALTHY Japanese home cooking.

Amid all the stress, she is doing her very best. Every day, I feel grateful for her and amazed by her strength. Watching her try so hard to adapt inspires us, too.
There isn’t much we can do for her struggles that she must face on her own. But when she comes home, we cook her favorite meals, create a safe table for the three of us, and wait for her to share her stories of the day.
These small moments at home are how we can show her love. And knowing that so many of you are supporting our family gives us even more strength. Thank you, always, from the bottom of my heart💛

1 year of UMAMI SAUCE, 7 years of our family journey🎂 Last year, we launched UMAMI SAUCE in the US. Today, this sauce that was born in my tiny kitchen in Tokyo is now on the shelves of over 3,000 stores across the country🇺🇸✨
During my struggles with postpartum depression, I started creating this sauce to bring comfort through food. Now, seeing UMAMI SAUCE at local supermarkets and celebrated by our amazing Kimonoko community makes me feel deeply grateful.
As a Japanese food startup, growing this quickly across America is something I never imagined. I am proud of my family and our team who worked so hard to make this dream real.
Today also marks our 7th wedding anniversary🥰💍. It feels like the perfect moment to celebrate love, family, and food.
