Many times when Allah swt mentions prayer in the Qur'an, the word charity is mentioned nearby, such is the virtue and importance of giving in charity for the sake of Allah swt...
Allah swt says in the Qur'an:
And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah: for Allah sees Well all that ye do.
[2:110]

Assalamu alaykum,
On this blessed day in the blessed and sacred month of Muharram, let me tell you something that will happen on the Day of Judgement.The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:
"On the Day of Judgement, the sun will draw near the servants until it is a mile or two away from them. Then the sun will burn them, and they will be submersed in sweat based upon the amount of their deeds. From among them there will be those whose sweat will come up to their two heels. From among them there will be those whose sweat will come up to their two knees. From among them there will be those whose sweat will come up to their groins. From among them there will be those who will be bridled in sweat."
(Ahmad, Muslim)
Subhan Allah, just imagining the above is giving me goosebumps. Alhamdulilah, not everyone will suffer. There is one such group of people who will be shaded.
The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:
“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”
(Al-Tirmidhi)
