Welcome to Off Kilter Crafter Ian! I’m Ian, a modern quilter with a love for bold colors, playful designs, and projects that don’t always follow the rules. I started off in paper crafting but quickly fell down the quilting rabbit hole and never looked back.

On this channel, you’ll find quilting tutorials, behind-the-scenes peeks, creative challenges, and the occasional crafty detour. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or you’ve been quilting for years, there’s something here for you. Expect honest talk, a few laughs, and projects that celebrate creativity in all its off-kilter glory.

I was heartbroken and devastated to learn of the passing of my dear friend Cinnamon Cooney, known to so many as The Art Sherpa. Her loss feels impossible to comprehend. Cinnamon was a radiant light, taken from us far too soon.

I met Cinnamon and her husband, John, many years ago when they lived in Houston. Honestly, I can’t even pinpoint the first time we met—it feels like she’s been a part of my life forever. Cinnamon and John opened their hearts to me and my family, even inviting us to share a few Thanksgivings with them. Those memories are precious, and I’ll treasure them always.

When I recently moved to the D.C. area, I was so excited to be closer to her. I had hoped to visit her more often, spend more time laughing, creating, and simply being in her presence. But life is so fragile, and I’m devastated that I won’t get that chance.

Cinnamon was more than a friend—she was a source of endless support and encouragement. My YouTube channel would not be what it is today without her guidance and generosity. I owe her so much. I miss her terribly—our phone conversations, the laughter we shared while playing silly games, the warmth of her hugs, and the light she brought into my life.

Cinnamon, I can’t wait to see you again one day, to spend hours spilling the tea, sharing “sippy sippys,” and creating beautiful art together. This world will never be the same without you in it.

Please keep John and their three children in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. They need all the love and support we can give.
