This weekend I watched Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and one question stayed with me:
“Who are you going to be?”
Peter Parker…
or Spider-Man?
His answer:
“Both.”
That made me think.
Life has asked me similar questions.
Peter… or Pedro?
New York… or Puerto Rico?
English… or Spanish?
For a long time, I thought leadership meant choosing one identity over another.
I’ve learned the opposite.
My New York story and my Puerto Rican roots don’t compete—they strengthen one another.
The same is true for leadership.
The leaders who create the greatest impact don’t shrink themselves to fit someone else’s expectations.
They integrate their experiences, values, and identity into the way they lead.
Maybe your greatest superpower isn’t becoming someone else.
Maybe it’s having the courage to fully embrace the person you were created to be.
Because authentic leadership begins when you stop choosing between different parts of yourself—and start leading from the strength of your whole story.

🎉 Last week I celebrated another birthday, and my heart is full of gratitude.
I’m incredibly thankful to God for another year of life, purpose, and the opportunity to continue serving others.
A special thank you to my amazing wife, Ruby, and my sister, Jackie, for putting together such a beautiful evening. Your love, thoughtfulness, and attention to every detail made it truly unforgettable.
It was also such a blessing to celebrate surrounded by family here in New York City. In the middle of busy lives, moments like these remind us that our greatest gifts are the people we share them with.

Catorce años.
El 21 de julio de 2012 dijimos “sí, acepto”.
Al mirar hacia atrás, entendemos que el matrimonio no se trata de vivir una historia perfecta, sino de crecer juntos en cada etapa del camino.
Hemos vivido momentos de inmensa alegría y también temporadas difíciles. Hemos celebrado, aprendido, perseverado y visto una y otra vez la fidelidad de Dios sostener nuestro hogar.
Ruby, gracias por caminar a mi lado, por creer en nosotros y por construir conmigo una vida fundamentada en la fe, la esperanza y el amor.
El mejor regalo de estos catorce años no son solamente los recuerdos que hemos creado, sino las personas en las que Dios nos ha transformado.
