Success comes from building real life professional relationships. Mass social media can 'potentially' have a massive reach ... but its also very very shallow. For most people I suspect enshitification will flip the game in favour of real life events not a massive social media following ... if half of the internet is dominated by Ai bots, social media is already half as effective as it used to be.
