SOUL SURVIVOR MINISTRIES

People today are rejecting the commandment of Jesus Christ. There are many people who say just preach the finished work of Jesus. They say just tell people to believe in the finished work of Jesus and don't preach repentance. These people who say this are not under the authority of Jesus Christ.

There is an attack against the message of repentance. There is a rejection against the message of repentance.

'And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem'(Luke 24:46-47)

This was some of the last words Jesus said before he was carried up into heaven.

Jesus commanded that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name. He did not say go out and tell everybody just to believe in his finished work. He said preach repentance.

People today are making up their own traditional way of preaching that rejects the commandment of Jesus to preach repentance. Just like the Pharisees did.

'Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups and many other such like things you do'(Mark 7:7-8)

The Pharisees made up their own tradition and rejected the commandment of God. This is the same thing people do today. They make up their own traditional way of preaching, and they reject the commandment of Jesus to preach repentance and remission of sin. They say don't preach repentance, just tell people to believe in the finished work of Jesus. They lay aside the commandment of Jesus Christ, and they hold to their own tradition. A tradition is just a belief. They reject the commandment of Jesus to preach repentance.

The apostles obeyed the commandment of Jesus.

'Then Peter said unto them,
👉REPENT👈, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost'(Acts 2:38)

'👉REPENT👈ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord'(Act 3:19)

'Testifying both to the jews, and also to the greeks,
👉REPENTANCE👈 toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ'(Acts 20:21)

'But shewd first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of judaea, and then to the gentiles, that they should 👉REPENT👈 and turn to God, and do Works meet for
👉REPENTANCE👈'(Acts 26:20)

You never see the apostles going through the streets preaching to everyone just to believe in the finished work of Jesus there's nothing you can do. They didn't preach like that. They preached a message of repentance because they were obeying the commandment of jesus.

There's men today who are not under the authority of Jesus, and they're not preaching the same message that the apostles preached. They're being led by a different spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead you to preach like the apostles preached in the book of Acts. They preached a message of repentance.

There is an attack against the message of repentance. Men are saying don't preach repentance. They are saying, just tell people to believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ. They are rejecting the commandment of Jesus. That's because they're not sent by the Lord. God has not sent these men. Those who are sent by the Lord will obey the commandment of Jesus Christ.

'For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many'(Matthew 24:5)

There is an attack today against the commandment of Jesus to preach repentance. Deceivers are waxing worse and worse.

'I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish'(Luke 13:3)

1 John 2:15-17 🔥 🔥 🔥 ✝️ 🔥 🔥 🔥

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Early Christians, particularly in the 1st through 4th centuries, confronted a pervasive culture of idolatry and what they deemed sinful practices within the Roman Empire by adhering to a strict monotheistic faith and, at times, a counter-cultural lifestyle.

Confronting Idolatry

Refusal to Worship Idols: Unlike the Romans, who were generally polytheistic, Christians refused to worship Roman gods or participate in the mandatory imperial cult, which required offering sacrifices to the emperor, seen by Christians as idolatry.

The Cost of Confrontation: This refusal led to intense persecution, notably under emperors like Diocletian (303-313 A.D.), during which Christians faced arrest, torture, and death for refusing to renounce their faith and sacrifice to pagan gods standing boldly on their faith to their Christian God and rebuking the pagan practices and idolatry.

Compare what the early christians were doing with what the christians do today.

The early Christians were rebuking sin, rebuking pagen practices and idolatry and warning sinners to repent, and they were persecuted.

Today the outcry from the professing christians against those rebuking sin and pagen practices and idolatry, and warning people to repent is, you're condemning people, this is not love, there has to be a better way, this is not how you do it.

The early Christians are a whole different breed of christians than the christians today.

We are in a time of falsehood christianity. The falling away is here.

When you read the scriptures, Jesus Christ preached messages against the religious hypocrites. He did it purposely.

Fruitfulness is at the very heart of what Jesus Christ taught, and it cuts directly against the idea that simply claiming faith or belonging guarantees a place in the Kingdom of God. He makes it clear that people are not known by what they say but by what their lives produce.

"Ye shall know them by their fruits” Matthew 7:16.

This is not symbolic language with no weight behind it. It is a warning.

"Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire” Matthew 7:19.

The expectation is not just belief but visible evidence of a changed life. That is why even from the beginning the call was clear,

"Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance” Matthew 3:8.

Repentance is not just words or emotion, it produces something real.
Jesus continues this same message with urgency in John 15 where He describes Himself as the vine and His followers as branches.

"Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away” John 15:2.

That statement alone dismantles the idea that remaining in Him is automatic or unconditional. He goes even further,

"If a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned” John 15:6.

Remaining in Him is directly connected to obedience, not just profession, because He says,

“If ye keep my commandments ye shall abide in my love” John 15:10.

Abiding is not passive. It is sustained by obedience. This truth runs consistently through the rest of Scripture. Salvation itself is tied to obedience, not merely acknowledgment.

“And being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him” Hebrews 5:9.

Jesus does not separate love from obedience either.

“If ye love me keep my commandments” John 14:15.

The apostles reinforce this without softening it.

"Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey his servants ye are to whom ye obey whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness” Romans 6:16.

There is no neutral ground. What you obey reveals who you belong to.
The claim of knowing God is also tested the same way.

“And hereby we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments He that saith I know him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him” 1 John 2:3 to 4.

That is not a mild correction. It is a direct exposure of false assurance. Faith that does not produce obedience is not living faith at all.

“Even so faith if it hath not works is dead being alone” James 2:17 and again “For as the body without the spirit is dead so faith without works is dead also” James 2:26.

This is why Scripture repeatedly emphasizes continuation, not just beginning.

“For we are made partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end” Hebrews 3:14.

“If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel” Colossians 1:23.

The warning is real because turning away is possible.

“But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness and committeth iniquity… in his sin that he hath sinned in them shall he die” Ezekiel 18:24.

The message remains consistent from beginning to end. True repentance produces action.

“That they should repent and turn to God and do works meet for repentance” Acts 26:20.

A profession without transformation is empty.

"They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him being abominable and disobedient” Titus 1:16.

What a person lives out carries more weight than what they claim. All of this shows that fruit is not an optional addition to faith. It is the evidence of it. Obedience is not a secondary matter. It is inseparable from truly knowing Christ. A living faith continues, produces, and endures. A branch that does not bear fruit does not remain, and a life that does not obey reveals that something is missing at the root.

If you don't experience persecution, it may be because the world can't tell whose side you are on.
