Why? Because I didn’t like the sound.
See, I usually lean toward house gospel vibes—that uplifting, soulful energy that makes you want to dance and praise at the same time. Sometimes I’ll mix it up with Harley-style arrangements, and other times I’ll switch between male and female vocals just to see what feels right.
But this time? I stuck with one male voice, and it just didn’t sit right with me. I kept replaying the songs, listening back, trying to catch the magic… and instead I found myself pulling away. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t me.
So I made the hard choice: I didn’t release it.
That’s the part most people don’t see—the quiet “no” before the world gets to hear a “yes.” The truth is, music isn’t just about uploading tracks. It’s about creating something that feels right, something that represents your sound, your spirit, and your story.
And sometimes, that means walking away from a project—even if it’s already wrapped and ready.
So maybe those four Christmas songs won’t ever see the light of day. Or maybe one day I’ll rework them with the right vibe, the right voice, and the right heart. Either way, it was a reminder: trust your ear, trust your gut, and don’t release something just because it’s “done.” Release it when it feels like you.
