I want to do more interview style videos (and some react videos as well, ex. dutch people react to american food or foreigners react to dutch food). Are you interested in being in those videos?
Hi friends! I uploaded a new video 🩷 In this one I interviewed a bunch of foreigners about their experience living in the Netherlands. I thought it would be fun for you (and me!) to see some different viewpoints. It's definitely an interesting one so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Okay...so now for a little chat because it's been a minute!
I took a few weeks off to practice some self care and do some traveling around Europe. Of course, I had to visit a German Christmas market during this time. While in America I would watch German Christmas market walk throughs on Youtube and fantasize about being there. Smelling roasted chestnuts, sipping a warm spiced cider while walking through a maze of holiday trinkets, freezing my booty off. And I can't believe that I got to make it a reality! Sometimes, when you see things on social media they are an overinflated version of the experience you conjured in your dreams, but the German Christmas market was even more magical than anything I dreamt up ✨
In the past few weeks some time was spent having fun and traveling but I also put in work - inner work. Between you and I, there was a feeling of disillusionment with the content I was putting out. The main reason I transitioned to making travel content was to inspire people to take risks, move away from fear, and experience what the world has to offer. But I wasn't sure if my content was doing that. The past few weeks I took some time away to meditate, plan, and re-evaluate what content I wanted to produce to serve you all in the best way I can. During one of my meditations I asked the universe to give me a sign that I was moving in the right direction with this.
On my last day in the Netherlands before returning back to the U.S. I stopped at a cheese shop called Old Amsterdam. It's a pretty famous cheese in the Netherlands, with the price tag to show it. But, I needed gifts to bring back to my family for the holidays so I decided to splurge on a few wheels. The whole day I had been ruminating on the video that was uploaded today. My mind swirled with a tornado of thoughts - did I capture enough? Did I ask the right questions? Was the lighting good enough? Did I do enough? Was I enough?
In the cheese shop my thoughts were still in a swirl when I went up to the register but before I checked out I was stopped by a subscriber and not only that, an American! I was totally blown away that in the middle of Amsterdam I had run into American subscriber. They were very sweet and explained that they had watched all of my videos and I had inspired them to move to the Netherlands! I learned that they were visiting the Netherlands for a few weeks to look for a rental before making their big move from the US. It was so incredibly moving that I had any part in that monumental moment in their life. All I want to do with my platforms is share things I learned and experiences I've had so it can help someone better their life. To see that come to fruition felt like the best Christmas present I could have ever received. To that subscriber, thank you so much! I'm so grateful to have met you - and just as I helped you, you helped me to see that my videos do have an impact 🩷
Anyways, if you stayed this long - thanks for being here! I'm more inspired than ever to keep putting out content and have a bunch of videos lined up. Wishing you all the happiest of holidays and I'll see ya in the next video! 😸

It was really fun to film this one and I'm excited to see what you all think 🩷 this week I'm off to London ✈️ I'm thinking about doing a video on haunted and creepy places there...but am open to suggestions! Is there anything you all are interested in seeing?
