I hope 2025 was kind to you and I hope 2026 is equally as kind.

Do you make New Year’s resolutions?

I struggle to see the dead of Winter as the new year, for me it feels more natural that Spring is the new year and the start of a new cycle. However I do like to think about rough plans for the year ahead. Any travels, new content, plans for the kids and ideas we have for the calendar year ahead. But nothing really happens until the calm and still of Winter ends.

It’s not helpful we are all starting the new year off unwell 🥴 So I am hopeful this isn’t starting as me mean to go on 🤣

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the lead up to Christmas, if you celebrate.

We have wound down now with no activities on and an even quieter pace than usual which has been nice.

It has been so MILD here that there’s a slim to none chance of a white Christmas for us!
But I can still hope 🤣

We have been on the Isle of Skye and what a collection of weather we have had!


Moody misty skies at Old Man of Storr, cloudy days at Portree, epic mist at Dunvegan and freezing cold wind and rain at Neist point! 🤣
Oh and we lost the drone……had to climb up the side of the stacks at storr to receive it! Not ideal for someone afraid of heights 🥴

Have you been to Skye? Is it a place you’d like to go?

We have been quite a few times now and LOVE it. We always go out of season as it gets busyyyy in Spring and Summer. It was busier than I expected for December too.
