In yesterday’s Titan Talk, Isiah, Killgoon, and Pon went over the upcoming Open Beta 7 for SMITE 2. The core focus is a large-scale nerf across most items—about 10–12%—aimed at establishing a healthier baseline before stronger item specialization and counter-play options arrive in OB8. They also spotlighted changes to major bruiser items like Gladiator Shield, Runes, and others to address ongoing frustrations with tank metas, while ensuring carries still pack a punch without bursting each other too quickly.
On top of these item updates, several gods received targeted buffs or nerfs, with Merlin, Aladdin, and Odin among the notable adjustments. Relic fans should look out for a faster-cooling Blink that rewards aggressive use. New quality-of-life features are coming too, such as the ability to swap consumables in the jungle—letting you safely keep those free wards or potions for better team play. OB7 is just the first step, with OB8 poised to refine item identities further and OB9 planned for final polish based on community feedback.
