This line-up of 30-caliber cartridges handloaded with sabot-wrapped 55-gr. .244 bullets is getting a lot of play on social media. A commercial version of these was loaded by Remington as the Accelerator in 30-30 Win., 308 Win. and 30-06, but I don't think in anything else despite folks insisting they had some in 270 Win., 7mm Rem. Mag. etc. If they did, they had to be handloads. Did you ever try these? And how did they work? ‪@RonSpomerOutdoors‬

This photo is Ron in 1989 with his Idaho California bighorn ram — one of those unforgettable hunts from his younger backcountry days.

He may not be pounding the steepest, roughest country like he did back then, but make no mistake — Ron is still hunting, still learning, and still out there. Same respect for the animals, same love for the land, just a few more years of wisdom added in.
