Happy Sunday

Today, I didn’t post my regular relationship video.
Not because I had nothing to say. But because I felt led to pause.

Sometimes, even as a relationship coach, you learn that wisdom isn’t always about doing more; it’s about listening and listening to God and listening to your heart and listening to what your spirit actually needs.

If you’re in a season where:
• Conversations feel heavy
• Love feels quiet, not loud
• You’re tired of “trying” but don’t know how to stop
• Or you’re praying for clarity about your relationship

Please hear this: God is not in a rush with you.

Healthy love is not built on pressure.
Healing doesn’t happen on a deadline.
And clarity often comes in stillness, not noise.

Today, instead of content, I offer you a reminder:
• You’re allowed to rest without guilt
• You’re allowed to take breaks without explaining
• You’re allowed to choose peace and still be committed to growth

As you go into this new week, ask yourself:

“Does this relationship draw me closer to peace, truth, and wholeness, or further from it?”

And then pray.
Because God cares about your heart more than your relationship status.

If this spoke to you, tomorrow we continue.
For now, rest, reflect, and let God do what only He can do

Have a blessed Sunday.

Samora & Trish

My name is Martha, I’m 58 years old, and what I’m about to share changed the meaning of love, family, and truth for me forever.

It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life—watching my only daughter, Linda, walk down the aisle. The church was filled with flowers, the choir sang sweetly, and guests were dressed in their finest. I sat in the front row, clutching a handkerchief, already fighting back tears of joy.

Then my phone buzzed.

I expected a late guest asking for directions. Instead, a deep, shaky voice whispered urgently:

“She’s already married. Don’t let her say ‘I do.’”

My chest tightened. “Who is this?” I demanded.

The line crackled. The voice came again: “Ask her about James. Trust no one.” And then the call ended.

I froze, my hands trembling. My daughter began her walk down the aisle, glowing in her white gown. But those words echoed in my mind: Ask her about James.

When she reached the altar, I leaned forward and whispered her name. She turned, her smile faltering. Then I asked, barely loud enough for her ears only:

“Who is James?”

Her face drained of color. She clutched her bouquet so tightly that petals snapped and fell. “Mama, please… not here,” she whispered.

But her groom noticed. His eyes narrowed. “What’s going on?” he asked sharply.

The ceremony came to a halt. Guests shifted uneasily, whispering. The pastor tried to calm the room, but the groom wasn’t done. He pulled out his phone, scrolled quickly, and thrust the screen in front of me.

It was a photo.

Linda—my daughter—wearing another white dress. Standing beside a man I had never seen before. A ring on her finger. His arm around her waist.

The groom’s voice broke. “Is this James?”

The church gasped. My daughter burst into tears, shaking her head violently. “It’s not what you think! Mama, please, I can explain!”

But how could she explain that?

The groom threw his bouquet to the ground. “You lied to me!” he shouted, storming out of the church. The guests scattered in confusion.

Linda collapsed at my feet, sobbing uncontrollably. Between gasps, she finally confessed the truth:

“Yes, Mama… I married James years ago. But it wasn’t love—it was survival. He forced me into it, and I could never escape. I thought he was gone forever, but he’s back. He’s the one who called you. He doesn’t want me to be happy. He’s watching us right now.”

Chills ran through me. The voice on the phone. The photo. The warning.

Before I could respond, another message buzzed on my phone. This time it was a picture—taken just seconds ago. It showed me, in that exact moment, holding my crying daughter at the altar.

The caption read:

“I told you not to let her say ‘I do.’”

I whipped my head around, scanning the church windows. And then—I saw him.

At the far back of the hall, half-hidden in the shadows, stood a tall man in a black suit. He held his phone in one hand… and he was smiling directly at me.

My blood ran cold. James was here.

And this time, he wasn’t leaving without her.

I just finished watching The Straw, and it brought me to tears.

This movie touched something deep in my heart. It reminded me how heavy life can feel sometimes—and how God’s grace meets us right there in the middle of our pain.

The Straw shows what love, kindness, and forgiveness look like when everything feels broken. It reminded me that Jesus is close to the hurting and that He never gives up on us.

If you’re feeling tired, hurt, or just in need of hope, I really encourage you to watch this film. It spoke to me in such a powerful way, and I believe it will bless you too.
