This channel was previously known as Trekking Exploration. The name has changed to better reflect the shared history, slower pace, and place-based storytelling that now defines the channel.

Today, much of the Blackburn Valley Railway has disappeared beneath roads, industry and redevelopment, but surprising traces still survive if you know where to look.
In my latest exploration, I follow the route of this forgotten railway, uncovering surviving stations, bridges and relics from a line that once played an important role in South Yorkshire's industrial past.
From hidden station buildings to impressive Victorian engineering, there's still plenty to discover along the old Blackburn Valley route.
