THEY MUST HAVE AMNESIA, THEY FORGOT THAT I'M HIM!!!

Didn't have a new video out in October because I was working on a mass media library document to store all the photos & videos I'll be using for my videos, it has at least 1,000 species already but would love for people to suggest any they'd like AFTER taking a look & making sure they aren't already on there!

I plan to have videos out in both November & September so be on the look out for more posts about them. They won't take as long as the cat video because now I know what I'm doing!

Making a massive list of media I wanna use in my videos & was just adding a bunch of different species that I wanna cover in the future when I found the TARGET RAT (Stochomys longicaudatus), oh my god this is the best common name I've seen in a WHILE!

Was thinking about doing a video on every fish (animal) that Jeremy Wade had on his suspect list through the ten seasons of River Monsters which made me start making a list of them. As a sturgeon stan, I noticed that some of them were listed under different genera then I remember. Did some more digging & turns out they did a complete shuffle on where species of sturgeon fall regarding genera. Are we being f**king serious, 8 days after my video drops & the IUCN pulls this… justice for the kodkod man, should’ve been listed as near threatened first. I am HEAVILY against species getting up/downlisted more then one level at a time as recoveries are rarely fast (even though this wasn’t a recovery for the kodkod, just a better understanding of their current circumstance, still dislike how quickly the IUCN moves sometimes. It gives the feeling like they’re trying to appease some group like when they uplisted Atlantic bluefin tuna, an economically important fish for commercial fisheries, from endangered to least concern back in 2018. As I am a chronic procrastinator, I left most of the work for my biggest & best (maybe last if it doesn’t do well) video to the last two weeks but am still confident it will be priemiering tomorrow, October 1st at 12:00 PM EST on my YouTube channel (@JohnAttenboro)! It’s just over an hour long & have 99% of the important bits done. If push comes to shove, I could hack the last two sections of the video to make sure it goes up on time as I type this while taking a break after working continuously for the last 36 hours… I’d still be happy with the final product, just a little disappointed in myself for continuing to do stuff like this. When it goes up, please give her a watch, my life depends on it! If everything goes better then expected, then I’ll stay & probably start working on another one of these immediately but the process will be streamlined after the literal EONS of trial & error…
