If there was ever a man that walked the face of this earth who should feel so self-sufficient as to neglect effectual, fervent praying, it should be Jesus. After all, He is the second personality in the Divine Godhead, the 'very God of the very God,' the Word that became flesh. Emmanuel - God in the flesh. Yet, He prayed.
No individual should ever feel so self-sufficient as to neglect the time for effective praying. Anyone who does so will soon become a prey to Satan.
