Never be afraid of your Bible.

Old-fashioned believers knew exactly what they believed and could point you to the Scripture that backed it up. Very few people like that exist today.

If you want to know God, you have to know His Word. If you want to understand His power, look at how He works through His Word. If you want to know what He is planning before it happens, the Bible is the only place you will find it.

Here is how you can tell whether you truly belong to God — by how much you respect His Word. If you treat the Bible casually, that itself is a warning sign.

The Bible is not God, but it is God speaking. I never read it without a sense of awe.

The Bible does not need to change. We are the ones who need to change.

These words come from a God who never makes mistakes and has no reason to mislead us. If I could not trust the Bible completely, I would rather have no Bible at all. If I get to sit in judgment over the Bible, then it has no authority over me.

The Bible has nothing good to say about human nature left to itself — and rightly so.

I am completely at peace believing what God has written to me. If it is in His Book, it is just as real and certain as if He had walked into the room and told me face to face.

What a thing it would be to have the Word of Christ truly living inside us — remembered, never forgotten; felt in the heart, always cherished; understood in the mind, fully grasped; with every part of who we are submitted to it.

I once heard about two unbelievers talking. One asked, "If you were locked up for a year and could only bring one book, which would you choose?" The other surprised him by saying, "The Bible." His friend pushed back, "But you don't even believe it!" He replied simply, "It's an endless book." And he was right — it never runs out.

Have you ever had a Bible verse suddenly come alive and take hold of you? That kind of moment stays with you. So many times the truth of Scripture has hit me like a wave — brilliant, blazing, and it has set my soul on fire.
