As we prepare for the approach of a new year, we reflect on ways we can improve for the upcoming year. What ways do you hope to develop and grow spiritually for the year of 2024?
Merry Christmas to those who choose to celebrate this holiday. On this day, my children and I usually discuss the importance of Jesus Christ coming to earth as a man and presenting us with His special gift of Salvation. How do you and your families celebrate this day?
The right side of this photo shows a slightly larger eye, wider nostril, lower cheekbone, rounded jawline, and smaller lip. This is something the Holy Spirit revealed to me a while ago to show me someone has been taking residence inside my soul. I’ve prayed for this person, but they continue their sorceries and use their trauma and sickness as a justification to continue sinning and stealing from me.
Jesus Christ granted mercy to the adulteress in the Bible. She sinned and the people wanted to stone her. Jesus forgave her and said “go and sin no more.” The Lord is merciful and full of grace, but people mistake this to mean He condones sin and allows us to continue to do what we want. This isn’t true. He says come to full repentance. Meaning to turn away from the sin and go to Him. No matter what bondage you have, Jesus Christ can deliver you from that bondage.
However, people don’t want to go to Jesus or relinquish their sins. They constantly use the excuse of their abuse and trauma from childhood or how others treated them as a justification to do what they want. This is why God says to turn to Him. We are supposed to go to Jesus Christ to heal us and alleviate our burdens, not do what we want to others. You are supposed to love your neighbor not hurt them. Many people want to be forgiven and exempt from punishment; however, they don’t want to change and want to continue breaking God’s laws and doing what they want to do to others and continue harming them.
Just as there are laws and rules to follow on this earth, and consequences for breaking those laws, there are consequences for breaking God’s laws.
When you destroy and ruin another human being, you are breaking God’s laws to love one another as you love yourself and to do unto others as you want them to do unto you. He is patient and compassionate but will not justify sin and the destruction of His creation. He will avenge His people of their adversaries. He will get vengeance upon the wicked, who won’t come to Him, and will “repay.”
Leaving this life for Jesus Christ is not always easy. However the Lord will help us overcome every struggle. What do you find most difficult about walking with God?
Sometimes we endure sorrow and pain in this world; however Jesus Christ will turn our sorrow into joy.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.” John 16:20
