Desika Daya’s Drsya Journeys had organised a yatra to #Cambodia, the land of ‘Parama Vishnu Loka’ (Angkor Wat). We had a group size of 250 yatris who had assembled from over 9 countries (besides India). I have had the opportunity to work with my friends - Sujatha & Sudarsan in the last decade. We now have a team spearheaded by Viswanathan & Aarthi. The extended team comprised of Sandhya, Latha, Venkat, Vijay). Subhash was our coordination head. We had our cook Mohan with 6 other assistant cooks who gave us excellent prasadam (food) everyday. Our days began with Thiruppavai, Vishnu Sahasranamam, English talks on Yadavabhyudayam and the last day concluded with Vadakalai Satrumurai. This is our 34th Yatra in 11 years (and 6th to Cambodia) where we have taken over 4000 yatris to 200+ temples spread in India & SE Asia. We thank all our yatris for making this trip a memorable one ❤️🙏🏽

On 01-Jan-2026, it was such a delight to be in the presence of the HH Acharya of @HariharapurMath at the Anantapadmanabha Swami Temple Adyar, and deliver a talk on the essence of Adi Shankara’s Kanakadhara Stotram. Every word of the acharya in this work speaks of his bhakti to Mahalakshmi, the abode of compassion ❤️

In the last 15+ years, especially in and around the #Margazhi season, I have had the opportunity to know, collaborate and learn from over 17 musicians and 15 dancers. All of them were acquaintances earlier but later became friends for a lifetime. I am not listing their names for want of space. My #Margazhi schedule was published in Oct'25 across all social media handles. With many events before, during and after the season, it was like walking a tightrope in coordinating with various artists and organizers during this period. Over and above this, were the regular TV debates/discussions. Amidst this came a call from Vidwan Shashikiran (Shashi to most of us) who said, 'On 02-Jan evening, you are doing an event with Sudha Ji for SPSS 125th celebration. Say anything but No.' It took some time for me to decide because most of my collaborators have been +10/-10 my age and experience in the last 15+ years. This was the very first time that I had to share the stage with someone who was many DECADES senior to me on all grounds. But I took it up as a tribute that I was doing for a sabha like SPSS which was celebrating its momentous 125 years. Though I have met Vidushi Smt @SudhaRagunathanSimplySudha Ji a couple of times, and she had been gracious to provide a testimonial for my book, I was still skeptical about the outcome. But in just a single call, she made me so comfortable and gave me the liberty to script the event. I took this project up as a selfish rasika, and laced it with compositions that I have enjoyed MLV and SR render for decades. And my last program for the #Margazhi season 2025, left us and our rasikas with a smile. But what brought that smile to the all of us? It was our topic, 'Nava Vidha Bhakti'. Nothing in #Bharata binds us all like what #Bhakti does!

2026 - After the discourse on ‘Hamsa Sandesham’ at Satyanarayana Perumal Temple (West Mambalam), I had the opportunity to render a discourse on ‘Kanakadhara Stotram’ in the presence of HH Acharya of Hariharapura Divyakshetra at Anantapadmanabha Swamy Temple Auditorium (Adyar). This has become an annual practice now to visit Smt @YogambalSundar Ji at her residence, and to be a recipient of her infectious laughter and impeccable hospitality 🙏🏽
The last program of my #Margazhi in #Chennai will be at Narada Gana Sabha (02-Jan, 6:30 PM, entry free) with Smt @SudhaRagunathanSimplySudha Ji as a Hari-Katha-Kutcheri! Then I am headed to #Cambodia with 250 yatris!
