A small favour from the OPNsense community.
Sheridan Computers has reached the final of two Channel Insights MSP Awards.
The first is Security Innovation of the Year for our work making OPNsense safer to update, recover and manage, including the boot environment work that was later adopted into OPNsense.
The second is Specialist MSP of the Year. Our entry is based on something many of you already know about us: we do not simply deploy technology. We contribute to it and improve it, including our OPNsense work and Tailscale plugin.

Two years ago yesterday, OPNsense 24.7.3 shipped with a feature called Snapshots.
My name is on it.
I wrote it because Netgate put boot environments behind the #pfSense Plus paywall. The FreeBSD tooling underneath was written by vermaden and given away free.
I had moved clients from Plus to OPNsense.
They lost the ability to roll a firewall back after a bad upgrade, and they complained. So I wrote the scripts.
I was told boot environments were not on the roadmap. The only thing I asked was that it never sit behind a paywall.
Ad from Deciso (the company behind OPNsense) rewrote most of it and shipped it in about a week. I doubt much of my original code is still in there. My name is in the licence file because he put it there.

Built a tool to help migrate OPNsense ISC DHCP to Kea or dnsmasq.
It can migrate static mappings, DHCP options, subnets, IPv4 + IPv6, etc. from config.xml.
Made this originally for client migrations and expanded it after requests for dnsmasq support.

Replacing the keyboard on an MSI GP70 2PE, all laptops should be this easy!
No screws, clip out keyboard, unplug, plug in replacement, clip back in place.
Hands down, the easiest keyboard replacement I have ever done, and I've done a lot.
