I know I’ve been relatively quiet lately! Allow me to explain.. . First off, The Devil is back in stock at www.obsidianaudiofx.com for both colors. Thank you so much for all of you messaging/commenting/emailing asking about it! I’m truly blown away with how well this pedal has been received! In the beginning I was selfishly just making a pedal that I wanted, but I think that it ended up resonating with a lot of people! It’s a very limited restock, but I’m working on getting more in now. . Secondly, I’ve been working on launching a second channel. The second channel is going to be the place for things that I think aren’t exactly a fit for the main channel, or things that I’m interested in but don’t have time to commit to making. I will have help on the second channel, and that will allow me to relieve some of the workload and focus on more of the content I want to make on the main channel - which is more introspective long form (like the tone quests, and the lore videos). This is still a work in progress but that’s my general idea. Often it is the case that when I start making a video, the project grows in scope and I have to sacrifice the final video quality in favor of deadlines. I take this as an indication that I’m getting better at the craft of making videos, which is my priority and I want to lean into that with the main channel. . Lastly, the next video should be up on the last Sunday of the month. I delayed it by a week because if I’m being honest, it’s just not ready. Releasing this Sunday would be a half assed video, and you and I both deserve better 😆 It is based around the Gibson Explorer, and if you saw the Les Paul video recently, yeah… I went kinda deep again 🤷♂️ . Thank you all so much for all the comments and inquiries, I do read them! The holiday season is a very busy time for me as both of my kids have birthdays in January (they’re not twins) right after the new year, so it’s a good time for me to detach and recharge my batteries with my family. . I need to say a few things about this one.. . First, thank you guys so much for your words of encouragement. For those that don't know, the whole reason I started doing YouTube was The Angry Videogame Nerd, so making a Halloween themed video has always been on my YT bucket list! I'm also a horror movie fan, so this is pretty on brand for me. . With that said, the guitar was purchased from Guitar Center. Doesn't mean it's not stolen, but there's no way I would know anyways 🤷♂️ It's a 67 reissued V. When I bought it, it came stock and if you'd like to see the hassle I went through to get it black/black, there's a behind the scenes on my patreon. www.patreon.com/taylordanley . I'm also surprised at the amount of comments I've received that didn't understand that it's a found footage style video for Halloween.. I mean, I guess a lot of people comment before they watch, or within the first few minutes or something, so maybe I'm not THAT surprised 😂 . But for those of you that watch regularly, you probably have caught a bunch of horror themed editing on my channel before. I use horror sound effects all the time. It's a big part of what I do, so this makes sense. I appreciate all of you that commented and told me how much you liked it. I'm trying to get through them, but I need to catch up on my normal content now, which seems kind of drab now, lol. . I'm already planning next years video, it's going to make this one look silly by comparison. I just need to figure out a way to make it without getting sued 😂 so stay tuned for that! .
