Makoto Shinkai plans to announce his next movie in late 2025, with a potential release in 2026. Shinkai has also stated that his next film will be a science fiction animation, returning to the style of "Voices of a Distant Star" from 2002.
What are your thoughts on this?

For a very special Makoto Shinkai AMV, "Kanata Haluka" was the song I chose from Radwimps and footage from Makoto Shinkai latest anime movies. Both were foundational to my YouTube channel and my story on this world of AMV videos.
