POLL for Subscribers & Viewers: Which video essay would you like to see next in between working on major channel projects? I have a few ideas I would like to flesh out and/or revisit any unfinished script I intended to upload earlier. These are not every single video idea I have, but please explain your answer in the comments why you'd like to see your choice:

- GARFIELD KART SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MASTERPIECE - a comedic video which would start a new series on games that are good/fun, but could have been better (NEON DRIVE is another game I have a few things to say, and it's more frustrating to play than GARFIELD KART because it should have been great too). Plus, it's got Garfield in it. Who would complain about that ?!?!?
- WHY FIREWATCH HOLDS UP - originally titled "Firewatch Taught Me To Not Take Nature For Granted." I revisited Firewatch during the summer while working on the last major projection for this channel and the original script was almost done, but I think I have more to say on this (and I still haven't gotten around to seeing any other animals apart from the deer in the opening scene). I also wanted to revisit this and compare it to GONE HOME. Plus, I had this one guy in my posts a few years ago ask me when I was going to finally talk about Firewatch and I hope this project would make him satisfied.
- WHY SOLAIRE OF ASTORA MATTERS IN DARK SOULS - The winner of an earlier poll on Dark Souls essays posted a few months ago. This is another long-formed essay & opportunity for a Dark Souls video, and it would be a character study looking into his role in the original game, the Warriors Of Sunlight Covenant, and how his one game appearance influenced Dark Souls 2 and 3.

Like I said, these are not every proposed video idea and my mind might change while I work on bigger projects. Thanks for taking the time to vote and stay tuned for video updates!

WOW ! To say that I am overwhelmed by the positive response to the Inland Empire episode would be a MASSIVE understatement. Thank you all so much for your comments and for watching, as this 3rd Episode is the best performing video for my channel after its premiere 3 days ago; you have no idea how appreciative I am of your support. I'll admit: since the production on this latest video essay was a heavy undertaking and took me almost the entire summer to complete, I have needed a lil' bit of a breather away from production on other projects by hanging outside and catching up on reading, but rest assured that this hasn't stopped me from editing and writing scripts during downtime and thinking about what I want to do next for this channel as the reception only motivates me to work harder. As I said in the comments on the latest video, I will conduct a poll next week in my posts tab on my channel and ask you what video essay you want to see before the next DE episodes drop.

So there's a [real-life] Freddy Fazbear's Pizza opening close to home (and close to where the Jets/Giants play football) and I do not know what to make of it. On the one hand, I'm too old to spend free time at the mall (and especially a mega-mall like the "American Dream" which was notorious for having taken too long to build and complete). On the other, it'll be *really* funny to see FNAF gamers checking out Freddy Fazbear's for the first time only to find out mall pizza is, like, 3/10 on the pizza scale. What do y'all think?

Hey everybody! So I just uploaded a new sneak preview over on my Patreon for free and paid members, which is a rough cut of the second chapter of my upcoming Inland Empire episode in my Disco Elysium skill analysis video essay series, and will be the final preview before the episode premieres later this month:

This 12 minute clip covers the basics of the Psyche skill Inland Empire and his role in progressing the game's story, and shows the other 5 psyche skills featured in the game. I already uploaded another sneak preview of the episode which you can watch over on the Patreon as well. The gameplan is to upload two versions of the episode: one on YouTube which is copyright safe, and the other over on Patreon which includes film clips from David Lynch's Inland Empire in the introduction chapter (the Patreon cut will be uploaded before the YouTube one to ensure the episode complies with fair use). I expect this episode ready no later than the 29th of August (a couple of Saturdays from now). In the meanwhile, I'll try to get some more Firewatch streams over on my Twitch channel while I am making final edits and voiceover.

Going to try the new STAR FOX on the Switch 2 tomorrow over on my Twitch (and maybe Friday assuming my playthrough doesn't carry over). I already tried out the demo for the game weeks ago and I have...some thoughts.

While y'all wait for the massive Inland Empire episode to arrive (now working into the summer which was unintended, but need to clean up the script and recording), you should revisit my Dave The Diver video essay from 2024 covering one of my favorite comfort games appropriate for the summertime, and was the longest video on this channel (before the FNAF 1 video months later), and both will be out-flanked by this 3rd DISCO ELYSIUM video. I liked how I touched on a little bit of philosophy, especially on the character of Dave, and also shouted out TWIN PEAKS in the intro (which, funny enough, I talk more about Lynch in the intro of my next video). And for my long time viewers, I have *some thoughts* to share about Star Fox on the Switch 2 (maybe it'll be a short video).

If you're wondering where I've been the last month, it's because, unexpectedly, I watched my New York Knicks go through a miracle playoff run all the way to win an NBA Championship, their first since 1973. I, like a lot of New Yorkers, have been celebrating like crazy, but rest assured, I'm back on video production that's taken me into the summertime (and now the next video essay has increased in length from two to three hours!).
