Hello...
This week we've been getting stuck into the next stage of the renovation project working towards getting electricity connected. There’s been plenty of digging, brambles, a few challenges and some unexpected discoveries along the way.

We’ve also been enjoying discovering more of our little village in Devon, England, which has been lovely. We’re making the most of the sunshine and gorgeous warm temperatures while they last.

Old Barn Diaries

We're finally settling into a routine with our derelict barn renovation. It's hard to believe we've now been here for ten weeks.
Every week brings something different, with plenty of jobs and the inevitable challenges that come with restoring an old stone barn. We're learning that it's just as important to enjoy the journey as it is to make progress. If we only focused on everything that still needs doing, it could all become rather overwhelming.
The beach is only a short walk from the barn, so after a day's work we'll often take Wilf and Ted for a gentle walk and treat ourselves to an ice cream. It's a chance to slow down, reflect on what we've achieved, and come back ready for whatever next week brings.
