The Grid Station Mattan has an installed capacity of 100 MVA. Presently, one 50 MVA transformer has developed a technical fault, which is being attended to by the concerned technical teams.

Till the issue is fully resolved, a 20 MVA transformer from GSS Lisser is being shifted and installed at Grid Station Mattan. This process is expected to take approximately three days, subject to favorable weather conditions.

During this period, the areas likely to be affected include: Mattan, Krangsoo, Achabal, Shangus, Chittergul, Kheribal, Gopalpora, Sallar, Salian, Seer, Aishmuqam, Batkoot, and Pahalgam.

Consumers in these areas will receive approximately half of the normal power supply during this temporary arrangement.

The department regrets the inconvenience caused and assures the public that all efforts are being made to restore full supply at the earliest.

• 11 kV feeders: 754 UP (57.91%)
• Total Load – Kashmir: 1041 MW

Restoration efforts continue on priority, with teams actively working across the Valley to further improve supply.
