Now home, and looking back with a very full heart, as exciting ventures lie ahead.

Such a wonderful day working with Harris Federation students a few weeks back.

We had young musician representatives from all 55 primary and secondary academies throughout London (within the multi-academy trust) for a day of musical performance, improvisation, and composition.

The day started with musical chairs combined with aural perception and extemporisation (with the help of soft tennis balls!) which resulted in a brand-new orchestral piece - composed collaboratively in real time with the students themselves. And wow - Harris Federation musicians can really play!

I left feeling inspired and energised by the students' boundless creativity and joy for making music.

Bravo Harris Federation.
