It's hard to find a more varied artist than John Noir Smith. Ranging from his instrumental work within ambient, lofi hip hop, jazz, disco pop and classical, to using his songwriting skills through ukulele pop, indie folk, rock and even post-punk.
He's worked with Bjun - the bassist of Skov - on Everything and Chamber Monkeys, SaraHN on Home (Hold Your Hand), as well as Jarxes on writing the song What to Do, Beingamonkey on AML 2 (where his song All My Loving was sampled), and Aschen on Sunrise and Miles Away (where he played guitar). The cover photo for Everything was taken by their good friend Thorbear (who's featured on the cover for 2Uncool2Laughlaugh), and the cover for Nighttime was designed by Marija Vlasova.
His song Ambivalent was featured at Festspillene i Bergen in June of 2020.
