I grew up in a home filled with all kinds of animals, and by the time I was 8 years old I was already keeping and caring for my own reptiles, amphibians, and small animals. I’m now 46, and one thing that has never changed is my passion for learning and improving the way I care for them. Over the years, I’ve continuously researched, adapted, and evolved my husbandry as new information, equipment, and better care standards became available. I’ve never believed in staying stuck in outdated methods just because “that’s how it’s always been done.” I believe the best keepers are the ones who never stop learning and always strive to give their animals the best care possible. Proper care goes far beyond simply owning a pet. True passion comes from genuinely caring about their health, environment, and overall wellbeing, and always being open to improving as we learn more.
