Shri Nityananda Trayodashi Appearance day of nityananda prabhu
In 1395 Bengali era, 1473 AD, on January 12, Nityananda Prabhu appeared in the village of Ekachakra, Birbhum district, West Bengal. He was born on the auspicious tithi of Shukla Trayodashi (thirteenth day of bright fortnight). His father’s name was Harai Pandit and his mother’s was Padmavati.
Shrila Vrindavana Dasa Thakura (1507-1589 C.E.) was born in Mamgachi in the Navadvipa area of West Bengal. His mother was Narayani, the niece of Shrinivasa Acharya, a direct follower of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Vrindavana Dasa's father, Vaikunthanatha Vipra, was from Sylet in East Bengal. Vrindavana Dasa was the author of the Chaitanya Bhagavata, the first full-length biography of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu written in the Bengali language.
Shri Ramananda Raya (1566 circa), lived in the Indian state of Odisha during the latter part of the 15th century to around the middle part of the 16th century CE. His Father was Bhavananda Raya. Their family belonged to the noted Odia Kayastha community. Bhavananda had five sons, the eldest of which was Ramananda. Ramananda was the Governor of East and West Godavari and a minister of King Prataparudra. A great statesman of that period, Ramananda was also a poet and a scholar. Shri Ramananda Raya disappeared after the disappearance of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
