💚 OCTOBER MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY RECIPIENT

For October, Mental Health Monday is turning its focus toward our Autism / Family Support pillar.

This month’s recipient is the Binghamton University Institute for Child Development.
This one is especially meaningful to me personally. ICD is part of our local community and does important work supporting autistic and neurodivergent children and their families through education, developmental programming, services, and family support.

That makes this month feel a little closer to home, while still keeping the focus where it belongs: on showing up for people, checking in, and supporting organizations doing meaningful work for children and families in our community.
Throughout October, the JVZ MHM Match will continue under its normal framework and standing caps, with this month’s support designated for the Institute for Child Development.

As always, nobody has to contribute financially to be part of Mental Health Monday. Come hang out, check in, listen, talk, lurk, support somebody else, or simply spend some time with the community.

Let’s make October another month of showing up for each other. 💚

💚 SEPTEMBER MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY — THANK YOU!!!

I’ve been sitting here thinking about how to put this month into words, and the biggest thing I keep coming back to is this:

You showed up for each other.

Some of you came into the streams and talked. Some lurked. Some left a like, followed, subscribed, checked in, kept the conversation moving, or simply sat with us for a while.

EVERY BIT OF THAT MATTERS.

Mental Health Monday has never just been about dollars. It’s about creating a space where people can check in, be heard, laugh a little, talk when they need to, and know there are people in this community who care.

And this month, that community did something we’ve never done before:

💚 For the first time ever, the JVZ MHM Match reached its full monthly cap: $250 / $250!!!

I genuinely could not be more proud of everybody who showed up and showed out for MHM this September.

A special thank-you to ‪@dagmartheagile‬ for continuing to support MHM, for the music he brings to our streams and community, and for the incredible support he showed through gifted Twitch subscriptions. You’ve been a huge part of this, and I appreciate you!

I also want to give a special thank-you to all of our veterans. September’s MHM recipient was veteran-focused, and it means a lot to be able to use this community to support people who have served.

Because of everything this community did throughout September:
$250 was donated to the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group on behalf of the JVZ community. 💚

I’ll be sharing the donation confirmation with this post for transparency.

The money matters because of what it can do. But what I’m most proud of is what came before it: people checking in, talking, listening, supporting one another, and proving that this community is about more than just gaming.

Let’s carry that into October!

24 HOURS OF SIM RACING FOR BLOOD CANCERS 🏁❤️

Next weekend, ‪@QC2PE‬ is bringing the Gran Turismo 7 community together for 24 straight hours of racing in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.

📅 Friday Sept. 25 at 8:00 PM ET → Saturday Sept. 26 at 8:00 PM ET
🏎️ 16 Gr.3 races
📏 100 miles each
⏱️ 90-minute race slots

QC reports that the racing community raised $4,000 CAD in 2025, and they’re looking to beat that total this year.

JVZ Motorsports is officially registered, and I’ll be jumping on track Saturday for:
3:30 PM ET — Watkins Glen
5:00 PM ET — Road Atlanta
6:30 PM ET — CGV

Those are just my races. Anyone can register for any available race slot throughout the full 24-hour event.
