When I realized I needed to speak to my past self, everything started to fall into place: that’s how “Digital Fashion from Scratch” was born.

Back in 2021, I would’ve loved to have a mentor to guide me through setting up an effective 3D workflow. But that didn’t happen.
I lost a lot of time.
I spent countless hours researching, experimenting, trying and failing.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know my journey—my posts over the past four years reflect it (and that’s only a tiny glimpse: less than 1% of what I’ve created for clients ever made it online).

Now, it’s time to give back.
I’m sharing everything I’ve learned in a video series designed for anyone who truly wants to get started.
I’m writing, filming and editing it entirely on my own—with essential support from my wife.
I’m putting my whole self into it.
All I ask is this: watch it, share it, critique it if you feel like it. Let’s grow together.

Who is this series for?

1.- Anyone curious about entering the fascinating world of digital fashion, regardless of age, background or location.
All you need is the drive to learn (and, of course, the right gear).

2.- Professionals already working in digital fashion who want a refresher, a better workflow, or simply to discover new tools.

3.- Companies that haven’t yet embraced 3D. This might be the right moment to explore it and realize just how impactful it can be.

Where does it all start?

With the first video: installing Style3D.
Why this tool?

.- It offers a forever-free version for non-commercial use. No excuses about subscriptions—you're free to use it to learn, explore and grow.

.- It’s powerful, intuitive, and keeps getting better.

.- If Style3D had existed when I started, I would’ve made it my first choice—no question.

Honestly, it might be the only tool you need to begin.

🚀 A milestone moment for me.

Just like on January 1st, 2021 — the day I officially began working in 3D, today marks another turning point: I’m publishing my first video where I actually show how I work.

For years, I was told “Keep it to yourself” — or, as we say in Italy, “Acqua in bocca”. But I see things differently. I want to live in a world that’s more open, democratic, and generous with knowledge.

A little late, but right on time — here it is: the first episode of TheRender Academy, released in three languages.
Thanks to ElevenLabs, I’ve been able to produce multiple voice-over tracks. They’re not perfect (and neither am I), but I know I’m on the right path.

• The video is designed for those who want to learn efficiently, without wasting time.
• It’s divided into chapters so you can jump straight to what matters.
• Available in Italian, Spanish, and English.

I like to think of 3D as a universal language. A tool that allows a young Indian animator to achieve their dream of working for Disney, or an Argentine designer to showcase their 3D collection in the heart of Italian fashion. To me, 3D is not just technology; it’s a bridge, an opportunity, a means to tell stories, break down barriers, and give a voice to the unheard.

A Personal Journey: From Sound to 3D
In the 1990s, I worked as a sound engineer in Caracas. Every day was an adventure: recording advertising jingles for industry giants like Leo Burnett and Walter Thompson. It was a window into the creative world, and each encounter left its mark. I remember one day in particular, when a creative director came in with a tape and said, “Watch these Brazilian commercials. They’re competing in the annual contest for the best ad.”

One of those commercials struck me deeply: two soda cans, one Coca-Cola and one Pepsi, slowly moving toward each other. Between them, a magical glue (the product being advertised) brought them together, transforming them into a shaker. Samba music exploded in the background, and the energy of that scene was electric.

For thirty years, that image stayed in my mind. I searched for it everywhere but never found it. Then one day, it hit me: with 3D, I could recreate it. I could bring that moment to life in my studio, this time with better resolution but, most importantly, with a personal message.

The Power of 3D Storytelling
Recreating that scene wasn’t just a stylistic exercise; it became a way to share a universal message. I transformed the positive energy of that ad into a message of peace: Stop All War.

This year, I can’t bring myself to wish “happy holidays,” because I can’t ignore the many wars and injustices around us. But I believe in the creative power of 3D as a tool to build a better world. Through our creations, we can inspire, move, and help bring about change.
