The International Jazz Federation (IJF) was an organisation of European musicians, composers, record producers, distributors, journalists, collectors, and jazz fans, with a mission of promoting music education, opportunities for musicians, and to bring jazz to a wider audience. Founded in 1969 as the European Jazz Federation, it took its IJF name in 1975. The IJF was associated with UNESCO and was a member of the International Music Council.
Charles Alexander served as president of the IJF between 1981 and 1988. In this radio programme, Charles plays a selection of European jazz records and speaks about the jazz scene in Eastern Europe and the activities of the International Jazz Federation:

Jazz Forum magazine was the official magazine of the European Jazz Federation, and then the International Jazz Federation, and is still published 8 times per year by Editor-in-chief, Mr Paweł Brodowski, pictured below (surely the longest-ever serving editor of a jazz publication anywhere in the world!).
