The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office is investigating a car crash which had occurred on early Saturday morning, leaving a 17-year-old girl from Sheboygan Falls dead.
Elayna Hansen attended Sheboygan Falls High School.
In a note to parents on Sunday, the Falls district called Hansen "a cherished member of our student body."

New evidence has emerged in the murder case against Luis Cruz Burgos, the man accused of killing 32-year-old Giovanni "Mike" Robinson from Ontario, Canada, in Sheboygan last fall.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of September 24th. Prosecutors allege Robinson and his group approached Cruz Burgos while he was working for DoorDash to negotiate a ride home.
When they couldn't agree on a price, the group walked away. Prosecutors claim Cruz Burgos then returned and shot and killed Robinson.

A new nonprofit art gallery has opened on the third floor of Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, offering local artists a space to showcase and sell their work while providing the community with free access to rotating exhibitions.

A barn fire near Cascade, in the Town of Lyndon, early Sunday morning destroyed equipment and killed 10 chickens, leaving property owners Dennis and Carolyn Krahn to assess the devastating loss.
"We got woken up at about 3 in the morning, and we had a great light against the side of the house," Dennis said, discovering their barn engulfed in flames.
