Design Styling vs Brand Identity

The Ferrari Luce has sparked heated debate since its reveal. Critics argue that its sleek, pared‑back form strays too far from Ferrari’s traditional cues — lacking the muscular aggression and flamboyant drama that define Maranello’s DNA. To many, it simply doesn’t look like a Ferrari.

Yet, strip away the badge and the Luce tells a different story. Its design is clean, minimalist, and futuristic, with smooth surfacing, razor‑thin lighting signatures, and a focus on purity over ornamentation. In fact, the very qualities that feel alien under a Ferrari badge could feel perfectly at home under another symbol of innovation: Apple.

Reimagined as an Apple car, the Luce’s restrained elegance suddenly makes sense. The seamless integration of form and function, the bold use of color and contrast, and the tech‑forward aura align naturally with Apple’s design philosophy. What feels controversial in Ferrari’s world could easily be celebrated in Apple’s — transforming criticism into admiration.
