24 years ago today, Melanie Thornton said something in her final interview that stayed with me ever since:

That moment hit me harder than I expected. It reminded me how fragile everything really is, how fast things can change, and how important it is to say what matters while we still can.

That feeling inspired my new song “Tomorrow Isn’t Promised.”
