But God: The Podcast

I’m at a place where who I used to be could have never imagined who I am today but who I am now hardly recognizes who I used to be.

The past several weeks have been challenging, confronting yet somehow comforting.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with encouragements and who are continuing to pray for me as I walk this journey out.

Many of you, I’ve never met in person and yet you cover and encourage me like we’re old friends. Thank you 🫶

I’ve learned that grief comes in waves but so does growth.

A beautiful cycle of wrestling, acceptance and application.

I will continue to follow the Lord’s leading.
I will not succumb to the false promises and doctrines of the world.
And I will continue to value truth over comfort.

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness, your sacrifice, mercy and grace.

You alone continue to keep me and you alone have created the change in me.

Jesus, my life is yours.
Your will be done.

But God: The Podcast

Just because a message is about someone named Jesus, doesn’t make it the true Gospel.

The Gospel requires repentance.
The Gospel requires holiness.
The Gospel requires self-denial.
The Gospel requires obedience.

If your gospel doesn’t include all of these things, you have been deceived into believing a counterfeit version of Christianity.

I used to believe in a god too that was okay with me being an androgynous female and identifying as a lesbian. I believed that I could be a Christian and be gay. I believed that I could do whatever I wanted to do whenever I wanted to do it and that since I had faith in “god” that I was entitled to the salvation, healing and blessings that Jesus is known for.

But I was deceived. I had created my own god and my own gospel, neither of which were capable of changing my life here on earth, my mental state or securing my eternity in Heaven.

Only the Lord Jesus Christ can do that.

Jesus did instruct us to love our neighbors as ourselves, but BEFORE He said that, we were instructed to love God more than ourselves and our neighbor.

Jesus also said that if we wanted to follow Him that we must deny ourselves and take up our own cross, meaning to crucify our own fleshly desires.

He also said that whoever does not take his own cross and follow Him is not worthy of Him.

Discernment says: This series of commercials is fueled by a demonic doctrine masquerading as a ministry campaign and it’s comforting people in their captivity and not calling them out of those chains.

And that ⬆️ is not like Jesus at all.

But God: The Podcast

Walking with Jesus is not always a walk in the park, but navigating the ruins after a ministry leader falls is a different kind of hard.

It's disorienting to discover misplaced faith.
It identifies any faith you have in humanity and offers you an opportunity to redirect that faith to the only one it should have ever been in, in the first place.

This is easier said than done though.

Excerpt from But God: The Podcast - Episode 2 Head on over to our channel for the full story!

It's tempting to revert to whatever you knew before because maybe that will make it stop.
Maybe that will lessen the pain you're having to endure.

Maybe, just maybe, going back to the old habits, activities, and ways of thinking will alleviate the damage done by the betrayal.

This emergency exit is nothing more than an illusion.

Walking through that doorway of deception won't make it better and it won't make it stop.
It won't undo the damage, it actually just creates more things to heal from.

Three things I want to encourage you with today if you find yourself walking through a similar situation:
1. God did not cause this.
2. God has not left you.
3. Going back only gives you more things to get through.

Keep your eyes on HIM and get back into the secret place.
