Tradition aside, this easily gave Cruz some extra points in taste just by making it finer.

Taste is of course subjective, but I'd highly suggest trying it first

The mountain alone makes the flavor more balanced and last longer

With the applique on the rim, we'll be able to choose different patterns for the leather

There are only 3 things you need to worry about when it comes to preparing mate

✅ there's some dry yerba on one half
✅ water isn't boiling
✅ you're not letting it steep

All checked? Then you did everything right

Mountain looks ugly?🤷‍♂️
Mountain crumbled?🤷‍♂️

Don't let a visually unappealing mate prevent your enjoyment of it.

Remember, most natives don't care to make a "perfect" one anyways.
